GCAL for iPhone is version of GCAL application (primarily developed for desktop platforms Windows and Mac OS X). Its user interface is not so rich as for desktop versions but it perfectly fits the iPhone/iPod interface.

Features

For those, who knows desktop versions, GCAL for iOS is “today screen” which some extensions related for tithi and naksatra information.

Information showed by application:

·         gregorian date, day of week

·         gaurabda date (tithi, paksa, masa)

·         festivals and events

·         optionaly sunrise, sunset, noon + sandhyas

·         optionaly details about tithi and naksatra

prev day – go to previous day

today – show current date

Change location by manual selecting from above 60000 world-wide locations or let the device itself locate by GPS system.

Locations are sorted in hierarchy by

·         continent

·         country

·         state

·         administration area within state

·         city

When using GPS, coordinates are get from GPS module and the name of nearest city is found. GPS is working even on iPod Touch, but you have to be connected to WiFi network.
